Bio Mining is the process of using microorganisms (microbes) to extract metals of economic interest from rock ores or mine waste. Bio mining techniques may also be used to clean up sites that have been polluted with metals. Valuable metals are commonly bound up in solid minerals.
Bio Mining was executed by RK Associates at various location of Aurangabad like Chalisgaon, Bhusaval and Yeola that has helped the area get cleaned and fresh.
This has provided a lots of advantages to the area like

The process intends to undertake the works required for Dumpsite Land Reclamation through Bio-mining of old Dumped Municipal Solid Waste/Legacy Waste resource recovery and scientific disposal of residual solid waste
Total station survey of complete project site including area earmarked in which Bio-Mining is to be done.
Minimum 90% of the earmarked land to be reclaimed which is presently covered by old/legacy waste.
To carry out baseline environment survey of the site as per EMP and specification.
To conduct its own due diligence for site investigation, analyzing the characteristics, composition, and quantum of the waste at the project site.
Dumpsite reclamation to be done by dividing the site into suitable sectors/loops based on the priority of land reclamation.
Usually the top layer has fresh waste, dust and may have several materials in the active biological state. This layer is to be stabilized through the application of Bio-culture, herbal/biological sanitizers, inoculants or through any suitable scientific method Odor shall be controlled and minimized through application of deodorant scientific method.
Excavating the existing mixed compacted MSW in the land portion allocated/earmarked and sieving them by Mechanical sieving machine or any other suitable technology.
